Julie Sjöfn Gasiglia

Julie Sjöfn Gasiglia (b. 1990, France) is a French artist based in Iceland since 2013, her practice explores the relationships that surround us and the ecosystems that dwell within our own bodies. Her work is an ongoing inquiry into what it means to be human on this planet amongst other living beings. In a world of overstimulation, her sculptures invites She holds an MFA from the Iceland University of the Arts. Working across sculpture, sound, installation, and photography, Gasiglia’s multidisciplinary approach reflects the diversity of her background and her continuing exploration of transformation, coexistence, and the porous boundaries between species.
