Ada Stańczak

Ada Stańczak is a research-based designer, ceramicist, and educator based in Reykjavík. Her practice is grounded in a close engagement with material, bringing cultural, anthropological, and environmental perspectives into dialogue. Through material-led research and design, she examines how local resources carry memory and shape forms of knowledge. Her studies of ceramic craft deepened her environmental thinking and visual research, leading her to explore how Icelandic terrains—especially mined and geologically altered sites—are represented, measured, and imagined.
